Mouth Sores

Some people who have bad breath may have mouth sores. These mouth sores are another kind of mouth ulcer. They are also referred to by the name of canker sores. These are the most usually occurring kinds of mouth ulcers.

The medical terms for mouth sores are recurrent minor aphthous ulcers and recurrent minor aphthous stomatitis. These names show the difference between mouth sores and aphthous ulcers or aphthous stomatitis.

The several triggers that could cause mouth sores are numerous. Some of these involve the types of mouthwashes and toothpastes that we use. Any oral hygiene products that contain the chemical substance sodium lauryl sulfate have the potential to develop mouth sores due to the drying effect these products have on the delicate mucous membrane tissues of the mouth.

There is also the idea that physical traumas like self inflicted bites, sharp tooth edges and food irritations can cause mouth sores to develop also. lot of people who have developed mouth sores claim that foods like crisps were the reasons behind their mouth sores. About 38% of mouth sore victims have felt these sores developed as a result of traumas.

The other possibilities for mouth sores developing are emotional and psychic stress. These factors have been proven to affect the health of individuals in several ways. Some mouth sore sufferers have stated that their periods of emotional of psychological stress coincided with the onset of developing mouth sores.

The other kinds of triggers involve dietary deficiencies, allergies and sensitivities, hormonal changes in the body, genetics, infectious agents which are both bacterial and viral, medical conditions and medications.
